First Post: 50 Days Fishing Close to Home

I'm creating this blog to follow the progress of my 2012 fishing goals.  As you may have guessed from the title, my goal is to spend 50 days this year fishing within 10 miles of my house in Fort Collins, Colorado.   The ice on  local ponds is almost fully melted, and I'm ready for some fly fishing after a long winter.  Right now I'm working on pulling together reference material for the ponds and lakes that I plan on fishing this year, organizing my fishing equipment, and starting this blog.  

I plan on making small trip reports for each of the 50+ days I spend fishing in town this year.  I will also be posting reference material for many of the ponds and lakes that I will be fishing.  Hopefully by the end of the year I'll have learned something about blogging and compiled a nice fishing journal to help me in the future.
